This mum just gave birth to the first baby boy in her family for 50 years.

A photographer has captured the glorious moment a mum discovered she’d given birth to a baby boy.

Dara Crouch, from Georgia in the United States, was the first woman in her family to give birth to a boy in over 50 years, and her reaction was absolutely priceless.

Neely Ker-Fox of Ker-Fox Photography told Popsugar she “burst into tears” behind the camera as she snapped the photos of Crouch’s reaction.

Ker-Fox said she captured the moment “knowing the innocent and very real worries we have when our second child comes into the world”.

“All of that anxiety and worry vanished in blink of an eye. And no matter what we have, the love we have for our kids is instantaneous and overwhelms every cell in our bodies.”

Crouch, a labor and delivery nurse, decided not to find out the gender of her baby, as surprise gender births have always been her favourite part of her job.

The mum-of-two was also convinced she was having a girl.

“It never really set in that this baby could be a boy until just a few minutes before he was born. I started freaking out because I had never been around a little boy and didn’t know much about raising one,” she said.

It’s Show Time. Post continues…

“When my midwife, Melissa, held him up, I was in complete shock! It was a boy, and I lost it! I was so excited, and so in love! I couldn’t imagine it being any other way!”

Dara definitely got the most amazing shock of her life.
