Edwin Daly just became the first millionaire in 'Hot Seat' history.

Australia, you need to meet 67-year-old Vietnam veteran Edwin Daly.

On Monday night, Edwin became Australia’s newest millionaire and the very first winner of Millionaire Hot Seat with Eddie McGuire.

Finding himself in the hot seat at the seventh question, Edwin then correctly answered eight multiple choice questions in a row to land a chance at the big million.

On the final round – his ninth question – the devoted husband and father was hit with this:

QUESTION 15:

Commonly known by his nickname, what was the full name of ‘Banjo’ Paterson?

A: Albert Burke

B: Andrew Barton

C: Adam Beaufort

D: Adrian Banks

While most of us here in the Mamamia office were scratching our heads, the answer came quickly to the trivia nut, and the rest was history. (Scroll down to see if your answer was right, too….)

Despite his talent for trivia, Edwin told news.com.au he isn't necessarily a "smart guy", but has a fantastic memory.

“I just have a velcro brain,” he said. “My daughter often has said to me that I have a head full of useless information, but it turned out to be quite useful this time.”

While he and his wife plan on consulting a financial advisor, the "committed Christians" are set on donating the first 10 per cent "to God's work".

So, tell us, did you answer Edwin's one million dollar question correctly?

Answer: B. Andrew Barton
