Could Sabrina the Teenage Witch be about to hit the jungle?

“I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” keeps hinting at the celebrities (…cough…) that will soon be entering the jungle. And one of them might give you teen tv flashbacks…

You know what’s fun? A wee bit o’ speculation.

Here it is:

The show that may or may not become our favourite reality show of 2015, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Herewhich will be starting in the next few weeks on Channel Ten, is teasing us with rumours of their upcoming contestants.

The premise of the show is to throw a bunch of B-grade (down to Z-grade) celebrities into the jungle, and… that’s about it. No phones, no selfies, no accidental nip-slips on the red carpet. Just straight-up jungle survival.

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHO WILL BE THERE??

We won’t find out until the season premiere, because those wiley little executives at Channel Ten are staying tight-lipped. But they’ve given us a teaser statement:

“The contestants will include a world famous overseas TV actress, an international model, a young Australian comedian, and an Australian cricketer,” said Stephen Tate, Channel Ten’s head of entertainment and factual programming. “Ultimately we’re putting together a great big dysfunctional family.”

Current rumours:

Richard Reid.

The Today Show is losing it’s gossip guru, as we found out over the weekend. Richard announced on social media that he will be leaving his Hollywood-based role on the show after seven years, but is “hard at work developing TV projects in both Oz and LA”. Does that mean his schedule is now wide open for a bit of reality TV? Who knows. We do know that he will probably be the least talented at camouflage skills in the jungle.

Richard Reid. See if you can spot him.

Melissa Joan Hart.

Who? Sabrina the Teenage Witch, that’s who. The American actress created a buzz last week when she followed the page for the reality show on Twitter. YES, SHE FOLLOWED THE PAGE. Could you BE any more obvious, Mel? MJH would possibly cover the ‘world famous overseas TV actress’ role in the line-up (at a stretch…). Fingers crossed she brings Salem.

Will Melissa Joan Hart mix it with some big cats?

Laurina Fleure.

Laurina. The greatest contestant that The Bachelor has ever seen. She brought us #DirtyStreetPie and a fear of touching our eyes during important conversations. Could Audrey Day-Knight, the princess bogan, last a day in the jungle? Probably not. Bring it on.

Laurina Fleure. So jungle.

Who else might be tossed in the jungle? Other rumours abound for Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickinson, Mark Holden, Family Feud host Grant Denyer, actor Vince Colosimo, and cricketer Andrew Symonds. We know that Julia Morris and Dr. Chris ‘Bondi Vet’ Brown will be the hosts.

We’ve heard that Blake ‘Bachie’ Garvey, Sophie Monk and Shane Warne have turned down a reported $60,000 a week to appear on the show. Although Dr Chris Brown made some very suspicious statements on Studio 10 this morning that made us think that negotiations with Warnie got a lot further than we were led to believe (apparently Warnie is very attached to his phone…).

Channel Ten – if you are having trouble getting celebs, we will volunteer. For $60,000 a week, we will gladly hang out in a jungle. Snakes, celebrities and all.

Who would you like to see on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here?
