Married At First Sight's Sean speaks out: "I don't know what I've done wrong".

Married At First Sight might (finally) be over, but the gossip and speculation around the contestants has only just begun.

Earlier this week – in a moment that broke the nation’s reality TV heart – Susan Rawlings revealed that Sean only stayed in the experiment so he would be paid $200 a day.

“His kids were crying to him on Skype: ‘Please come home daddy, we don’t really know why you’re away for so long’,” Rawlings told News Corp.

“And I said, ‘No, you need to go, we’re just friends, you need to go’. And he’s like, ‘Nah, I need the money, I’m going to New Zealand in April on my first overseas trip ever. I need some spending money’,” she added.

Susan slammed the show for being fake, editing her wedding vows, and putting the contestants through unreasonable conditions. The 37-year-old truck driver also claimed that the producers didn't allow the participants adequate toilet breaks and that they were plied with alcohol at the dinner parties.

Now Sean Hollands has spoken to TheFix to tell his side of the story, claiming he doesn't "know what [he] did wrong".

When asked whether he was surprised the Susan and run-away-bride Lauren had been speaking out against the show, Hollands replied that with 20 people on the show there was "always going to be some negativity there".

He said that the producers did 'supply' alcohol at the weekly dinner parties but the contestants were not forced to drink it. However, Hollands also said that alcohol was probably also the cause of Rawlings' bathroom break allegations, as with 20 people drinking alcohol there was often a line up for the loo.

"We all had to work together. It's hard trying to fit 20 people to go to the bathroom at the same time. Sometimes those breaks were a little bit difficult, but it's not that we were just totally denied breaks."

Sean confirmed that they'd often film late into the night and sometimes not stop filming until 3 or 4 in the morning, but that wasn't a problem for him because he's used to working night shifts.

"I just didn't understand why people would complain and complain and complain," he said.

Sean also claims he has no idea why Susan has turned against him and that he hasn't been able to get in contact with her since she went public with her revelations.

"I've tried contacting her and reaching out, but she's not answering the phone, not answering text messages, and doesn't want to talk. I don't know what's going on."
