No more kids for Mariah Carey, the twins would get 'too jealous'

Is it just me or is anyone else getting the feeling that poor (not literally, of course) Mariah Carey is actually deeply terrified of her four-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan?

I mean, the curly-haired youngsters don’t look that scary.

In fact, they look rather sweet, but there has to be some explanation for why the superstar songstress is yet to tell them she is engaged to Aussie gazillionaire James Packer and why she has publicly declared an end to her breeding based on their anticipated feelings.

Puppy luv party!

Yep, that’s right. Mariah says she and James Packer won’t be adding more kids to their billionaire brood. The Marackers, who began dating last year and marked their engagement with a diamond ring that doubles as a knuckleduster late last month, have five offspring between them (Packer has three kids with his ex-wife, Erica). And apparently the couple won’t need to add a nursery to their six-bedroom, nine-bathroom Hollywood mansion anytime soon.

Because the twins ‘would get jealous’.

In an interview on The Lowdown with Diana Madison, Mariah said she would not consider expanding the clan because little ‘Roe and ‘Roc do not like sharing their super-famous mum. “No, those are my two babies and I think they would be so jealous because they get upset when I pet the dog,” she said. The 45-year-old also made clear that she would not be moving to her hubby-to-be’s homeland, Australia, saying: “No… I’m an American, so…” (Um, you like cheeseburgers?) Watch the full interview here (post continues after video):

Apart from the brief moments when she musters the energy to not look and sound completely bored, Mariah manages to not give a whole lot else away during the chat.

She does not deny that at least one of the twins has inherited her singing gene.

She shares her secret to looking so good: “I went on a really, really bleak diet. It’s not fun… I don’t think you want to do any of my boring diet stuff.”

Mariah says in five years she wants to be somewhere, singing, working, hanging out, doing ‘some stuff that she’s wanted to do for a long time’. (Apparently, there are a lot of those things, but she will not expand on what they are, which the interviewer confirms is “amazing”.)

Let’s hope she’s more excited about the pending nuptials, the third wedding for both parties.

And let’s also hope her kids are equally thrilled when they do eventually find out about the whole marriage thing.

“I haven’t talked to them about it completely because they are so young so they don’t really understand things yet,” Mariah said.

“So you have to go slowly and explain things and always make sure they know that this is only going to be good for them. Their lives are not going to change.”

Don’t worry, ‘Roc and ‘Roe. We’re sure that in five years you’ll be somewhere too, doing some cool, top-secret, mystery stuff, just like your mama.
