PSA: Mariah Carey has pulled 'a Taylor Swift' on ex-fiancé James Packer.

It’s happening guys.

Mariah Carey, everyone’s favourite self-confessed diva, has recorded a new song all about her breakup with Australian businessman James Packer.

Yep! She’s totally gone all Taylor Swift on us, with TMZ reporting the 46-year-old singer recorded the collaboration with rapper YG last weekend.

And the song (which we’ve all been secretly hoping for) will air on Monday night in Australia, during the final episode of her eight-part reality TV series Mariah’s World.

US viewers will get to see it on Sunday night.

Rumour has it that the pair also recorded a video for the song, suggesting it will be launched as a single as well.

Carey and Packer first began dating in June 2015, and by January 2016, Packer had proposed to the '90s pop star.

However, by October last year they had split for good, meaning Packer was noticeably absent for most of the TV series.

Packer reportedly told Carey that she could keep the $10 million engagement ring he gave her, but it has been suggested that Carey wanted a $50 million settlement, as she believes Packer's relationship with her helped open business doors for him.

Carey is now dating back-up dance Bryan Tanaka.

Up until this point the singer has been very tight-lipped about her break up with Packer, telling Ellen Degeneres: "Everything happens for a reason. Things are the way they are."

During the interview, Carey also hinted towards another interesting piece of information - that James originally agreed to be filmed for Mariah's World, before demanding he be edited out entirely.

But the star would not elaborate, choosing instead to change the topic of conversation.

“It is difficult to talk about at the moment so I am going to compliment you on these decorations because they are fabulous," she told Degeneres.

Mariah's World airs on E! on Mondays at 9:30pm.
