The amazing moment a man halted a Coldplay concert to propose to his girlfriend on stage.

One lucky woman got to share her engagement with a crowd of cheering Coldplay fans when her boyfriend proposed to her onstage during the band’s Melbourne concert.

Frontman Chris Martin interrupted the band’s performance of A Sky Full of Stars at Etihad Stadium on Friday night to allow the man to take to the stage and ask his girlfriend to marry him.

Martin told the man, jokingly, to be quick because “these people have got to catch trains and sh-t”.

But there was some awkward confusion as to who the girlfriend was, with the lead singer booting another woman from the stage who appeared to have had no connection to the man.

“Oh, you’re not the person he’s proposing to. What the f-ck are you doing here? Thanks for coming anyway,” he said.

When the right woman finally made it to the stage, her boyfriend began by saying that he’s thankful for her love for the past three years.

“So in the midst of God, Coldplay, my new best friend Chris and all the people here in Melbourne I just want to say I love you,” he declared.

“With all that being said, will you marry me?”

The man then got down on one knee and opened the small box in his hand to reveal a ring. She said yes.

He is not the first man to get down on one knee in front of thousands of fans, with a man choosing to pop the question to his backup dancer girlfriend at a Beyonce concert in September.

Still, we think this couple are pretty lucky. Not many people can say they met Chris Martin and got engaged on the same night.
