Tinder user who attacked women if they didn't reply quickly enough finally got what he deserved.

Tinder is all about making snap judgments.

Pet dog? Yes, please. Suit and tie? See ya never, law bro.

Take 24-year-old San Franciscan ‘Nick’, for example.

Snore, basically. Source: Facebook

At first glance, he appears to be the cardboard cut-out of a nice -- if incredibly beige -- bloke, but scratch the surface and he may not be the easy-going guy his profile would have you believe.

According to Kevin Tran, who attended college with him, Nick Vevodi, is actually a "racist misogynist", as evidenced by the way he treated one of Tran's female friends when they matched on the popular dating app.

Things started out fine. There was light banter, some talk of drinks and then the female party, presumably busy living her life, went silent and Vevodi's tirade began.

He called her a "ch*nk", "a waste of space" and a "dumb cunt".

He sent her a lewd emoji and told her to wear less makeup.

When the woman finally wrote back to say she wasn't interested (funny that), Vevodi told her she'd wasted his time, had a great body and no brain then sent her ANOTHER lewd emoji.

After screenshots of the exchange were shared with him, Tran decided to name and shame his former school chum on social media.

"Sexism and racism take many forms and it cannot be tolerated," Tran wrote in his post, which has since gone viral.

"As a man and POC, we can't let this stand."

Several other women have since come forward to describe their own dark encounters with the squeaky clean Silicon Valley worker, including one who penned an open letter to him.

Tinder was swift to take action against Vevodi, slamming him with a lifetime ban.

Rosette Pambakian, Tinder’s Vice President of Communications and Brand, also penned an open letter titled, 'In Commemoration of National Pig Day...'

"We’re swiping you off the island," Pambakian wrote.

"Tinder has a zero-tolerance policy on disrespect. No racist rants. No sexist pigs. No trolling. No jerks who can’t get over their own inadequacies long enough to have a decent conversation with another person on Tinder.

"I was personally offended by what you said. Your words to that woman were an assault, not only on her, but on all of us. Every day, we work to rid our ecosystem of bad actors like you.

"Women’s voices are only getting louder. So let me say this loud and clear: you and your kind are not welcome in our world."

Bumble have also banned him.

Disturbingly, Nextshark, the site which originally broke the story, also claimed Vevodi was accused of sexually assaulting two underage teenage girls when he was 18 years old but escaped without jail time.

It would seem, Vevodi is finally getting his just deserts, however, the friend of Tran's whose mistreatment started the whole saga told Buzzfeed she felt "uneasy" with the vigilante-style justice being dished out online.

“At first, I felt a sense of unity when people were applauding Kevin for his stance for people of color and women,” the unidentified woman said.

“However, when the thread began to grow and promote cyber bullying, I started to feel uneasy. The reason why the post gained recognition is because people were upset at the hate Nick was spewing. I felt that it was counter-intuitive that people were now spewing hate at Nick.”

Regardless, it's an important reminder that sometimes looks can be deceiving.
