She’s famous for her two-piece outfits showing her toned stomach. And at the VMA Awards last night, she stuck to her midriff style.

But the Internet has noticed something…

A Reddit thread entirely dedicated to the conspiracy of Taylor’s absent button has some very interesting theories.

“Only the original has a bellybutton, the clones are bellybutton-less” says one user.

“She wasn’t born via normal methods so she didn’t have an umbilical cord. She was created in a lab by scientists who were trying to create the perfect woman. They succeeded,” muses another.

But it’s okay. The conspiracy is merely a conspiracy. Because, although Taylor does a lot of this:

One of her Instagram photos proves that she does have a belly button.

Well, maybe. We weren’t there. It might be a sultana.
