What you almost missed in Khloe Kardashian's pregnancy Instagram announcement.

Today is a strange day. We’re not used to Kardashians keeping, well, anything to themselves, yet here is Khloe suddenly announcing that she is pregnant. And that she has been for quite some time.

“I know we’ve been keeping this quiet but we wanted to enjoy this between our family and close friends as long as we could privately,” she wrote alongside Thursday’s Instagram announcement, with partner Tristan Thompson. “To enjoy our first precious moments just us.”

Despite the fact that we, as a people, have been conditioned to expect the reality television family to share their every waking/sleeping moment with us, we were prepared to let this one slide.

And then we spotted something else.

Look beyond the 33-year-old’s hypnotising belly, her basketball-playing partner’s giant hands wrapped around it, his giant watch, the emotional caption thanking him and Him and her fans. Look past all that, and you’ll notice her jewellery.

Two rings. On her left hand, more specifically the ring finger on her left hand.

So, something else you wanna share with us, Khloe? Huh? HUH?

Of course, wedding rings or nay, their inclusion isn’t an accident. Nothing in Kardashian mumager Kris Jenner’s carefully curated world ever is. Not the prominence of Khloe’s CALVIN KLEIN bra in Wednesday’s photo, not the sudden desire for suspen… sorry, privacy, and certainly not those two massive sparklers.

Because when one (pregnancy) rumour mill stops spinning, you better believe there’s another one (marriage?!) ready and waiting to be given a whirl.

And that’s not even mentioning the speculation that youngest Ksibling, Kylie Jenner, 20, is also not-so-secretly expecting a child with her partner, Travis Scott.

While Khloe has stayed relatively tight lipped on her relationship with Thompson, who has a one-year-old son named Prince Oliver from a previous relationship, those trusty close-to-the-family sources had previously indicated she wants to wait until next year before wedding the Cavaliers player.

After all, it was only last year that the reality star turned influencer/fitness entrepreneur split from her ex, Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom, after seven years of marriage.

The pair had tried for children, but Khloe stopped fertility treatment amidst the breakdown of their relationship.

This time around, it seems there’s no hesitation.

“I am so thankful, excited, nervous, eager, overjoyed and scared all in one!” she wrote. “But it’s the best bundle of feelings I’ve ever felt in my life!”
