Prepare to be baffled by the latest photos of Donald Trump's adviser, Kellyanne Conway.

By now, US Donald Trump adviser Kellanne Conway is probably used to making headlines for her controversial comments and ill-thought-out spruiking of products.

However, she was probably not expecting to gain worldwide attention for taking a photo while kneeling on the Oval Office couch.

The 50-year-old was taking a photo of President Trump and black representatives from colleges inside the White House at the time.

However, Conway accidentally found herself the feature of photographs, where she is pictured “digging her heels” into the new sofa as she takes photos and sits back to check them.

Cue critical comments from Twitter users, including the senior editor of The Atlantic, plus news reports from Daily Mail, The Australian and other outlets.

The spotlight is exactly where the counsellor to the President had been trying to keep away from since she made two recent blunders.

Conway referred to a nonexistent ‘Bowling Green Massacre’ while talking about President Trump’s travel ban and later openly promoted Ivanka Trump’s fashion brand – something considered to be a breach of ethics by many in public service.

Meanwhile, attention could have been on one of few uncontroversially positive Trump actions – meeting with university presidents to discuss the federal government taking a greater role in their schools.

Lisen: Kellyanne Conway isn’t the only woman in Trump’s life to be ruthlessly mocked. Enough, says Monique Bowley.

What do you think? Was Kellyanne Conway’s stance disrespectful or A-OK?
