Veteran television presenter Karl Stefanovic has delivered a heartfelt tirade against a major Australian publication after a misleading story published on Thursday evening has left his co-worker in tears.
“If you have any care whatever for the women of Australia do not slur the representation of others to throw your mud at me,” the Today co-host said angrily on Friday morning calling out the Daily Mail.
"This website specialises in shaming women, for what they wear, for how much they weigh, for how much weight they have lost, for going to the beach. It has a despicable track record for denigrating women for who they are, for choices they make and for denigrating women full stop," the 42-year-old continued before pointing out the publication's track record against his co-workers.

Lets not forget that before his wife him, 3 years ago he wore the exact same suit to prove a point about misogyny. He was still with Cassandra then. So this is not out of character for him, he has been an advocate for women for a few years at least.
Maybe there are faults everywhere in the media about downgrading anything that will make a slight interest to the general public in order for the consumers to buy it.
This man may have faults, although by him stepping up and making a stand is surely a way that we can all look at ourselves and all take a minute to consider the harm that is done when someone makes a hurtful comment. Not all of us are tough enough to accept these comments and move on.
Surely it wouldn't hurt the media to ease up on the speculation and perhaps report on more serious FACTUAL issues rather than making up gossip.
