Kaley Cuoco has started off the new year on a sad note, with the star of The Big Bang Theory announcing the passing of her beloved dog Petey on Instagram.
She received Petey, a chihuahua-daschund mix, as a birthday gift on her sweet 16th from her boyfriend at the time.
He was a rescue dog, and Cuoco revealed in her touching post that her beloved pet had “brought a lifetime of joy and laughs to our entire family.”
Cuoco also named her corporation after the dog (Peteypie Inc.). His passing arrived on what would have been the second wedding anniversary of Cuoco and her ex Ryan Sweeting.
The couple married on New Year’s Eve in 2013 and 21 months later, filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Cuoco often turns to her four-legged friends during tough times. Following her split, she added a fourth adopted puppy into her home, as well as adopting a horse.

It's a terrible thing to loose a pet, we lost ours last year. ... but worse than that we lost a baby on our wedding anniversary. that day is forever tainted so we have moved our "anniversary" to the day we got together.
