Thousands followed Julia Watson's cancer battle. Now it's over, her family needs our help.

Julia Watson was a busy mother of four when she was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer, which had also spread to her liver, in December 2013.

She published a book about her experience living with terminal cancer, Breakfast, School Run, Chemo, in 2015.

Now, family has confirmed the mother of four passed way on December 18.

"At 10:15pm tonight, surrounded by love, our brave, beautiful, and most courageous warrior woman, Julia, left us to begin her eternal dream," a post on Julia's blog Facebook page read.

"Remember forever the lessons she gave us. Live, love, hope, dream, achieve and fight for what you believe in."

Julia was an inspiration to other cancer sufferers by sharing her honest, and at times hilarious, journey.

In the wake of her passing, thousands of her followers are offering donations to her family to support them in the difficult weeks to come.

The donations will be used to support the care of Julia's four children, including her daughter Georgia who has Down Syndrome.
