All anyone noticed during Donald Trump's post-election 60 minutes interview was Ivanka's bracelet.

It was the post-election interview everyone was talking about – Donald Trump and his family on 60 Minutes outlining what his plans as President would include.

It was a chance for him to prove his naysayers wrong, for us to get a glimpse at what election promises he’ll actually see through… and for his daughter Ivanka Trump to dazzle us all with her expensive jewellery line.

Wait, what?

My family sat down for our first interview post-election with @60minutes. Tune in at 7pm EST to watch!

The 35 year old appeared in the interview alongside the rest of her family, and, never one to miss a prime business opportunity, used the opportunity to promote the $14,300 bracelet she was wearing. Yes, that’s a cheeky 14,300 Aussie dollars, friends.

Several journalists shared the media ‘style alert’ sent by her team immediately after the interview aired.

“Please find attached a style alert of Ivanka wearing her favourite bracelet from the Metropolis collection over the weekend on 60 minutes,” it read.

“Please share this with your clients, and of course do not hesitate to reach out with any enquiries.”

The company has since apologised.

“This notification was sent by a well-intentioned marketing employee at one of our companies who was following customary protocol, and who, like many of us, is still making adjustments post-election. We are proactively discussing new policies and procedures with all of our partners going forward,” said a Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry spokesperson in a statement.

While this may be put down to unfortunate timing, it highlights a growing concern many people have with Trump and his family in the White House – a conflict of business interests. (Post continues after gallery.)

With an enormous business empire around the world, Donald Trump’s business ties have a very real chance of causing problematic conflicts of interest.

He’s said he will hand over control of his company during his time in office to children Ivanka, Eric and Donald Trump Jr who are already involved with the business.

The only problem with that? He’s also named them on his transition team to help organise and help build his administration in the lead up to his inauguration.

A cheeky bracelet has brought up a whole lot of interesting questions. We’re watching both closely.
