Thank you everyone for the beautiful comments… When I created Pink Hope I had NO idea the positive impact it would have on the community.
I can remember sitting in my hospital bed – surrounded by my incredible family… but I was missing something, another woman who was going through exactly what I was.
Now there are thousands of women connecting, supporting and inspiring each other. Pink Hope has become far bigger than me and it is representing so many incredible families.
I am so honoured I am able to use my profile to advocate for high risk families in the media and community.

It must of been a emotional roller coaster just going through your surgery a difficult time for you and you family. I can see your personal journey has helped so many. I dont come from a ‘high risk’ category – I have a family who have ZERO history of any cancer, let alone Breast Cancer. I was blessed enough to meet Krystal through my ‘journey’ and thankfully Pink Hope was created whilst I went through my chemo + my choice of having a double maestectomy. The site + advice of so many women going through different but similar journeys helped me make informative decisions about my care along with helping me prepare myself mentally. I could not recommend Pink Hope highly enough!

Pink Hope is exactly what is needed for high risk women & Krystal – you are amazing! It’s great to see Pink Hope being recognised out there. It’s such an important resource for women like me who have been affected by genetic breast cancer and the risks involved – the only resource in Australia in fact. What would I do without it?! I certainly wouldn’t have the plethora of information or the opportunity to meet all these amazing women who I can relate to.

What a great interview, Krystal you are such an inspiration and have made such a difference to my life. It takes a strong person to go through what you have and still be so full of charisma and happiness. I have just started my journey for breast cancer prevention, being from a high risk family I want to let as many people I know how important it is to be aware so we can try and prevent this horrible curse that is breast cancer. Thank you for this great interview. I am part of this community and have had the same surgery. It is the biggest decision I have ever been faced with and do not regret having the surgery one little bit. Pink Hope has provided me with so many friendships and so much information and I would have been lost without it. Without the knowledge and the funds we have no power, so Pink Hope raising funds and awareness and support is crucial. My children are mini ambassadors as well as Pink Hope to them is like vegemite on toast. As a mum having to wait to have them all tested over the next 12 years as they come of age, I feel a lot of anxiety and feel it is not over. Pink Hope gives us a safe place to land during all this and lets my kids not be afraid and feel that there is a community to support them and provide hope that they dont have to make the choices that I did.
