If you ask Hanson, Justin Bieber's music is like “chlamydia of the ear”. Ouch.

Hungering for some celebrity ~drama~ on this fine Monday? Well, your wish has been granted, and it’s all thanks to Hanson.

No, not the One Nation senator – the Hanson brothers. Of ‘Mmmbop’ fame.

During their recent visit to Adelaide, the musical siblings stopped in at radio station hit107 for a round of Whose Song Is It Anyway with hosts Amos, Cat and Angus.

One of the songs was Justin Bieber’s remix of the Luis Fonsi/Daddy Yankee earworm ‘Despacito’. 

“Can I just say, I’m glad I didn’t know what that was,” Zac, the youngest Hanson, declared.

Then, just in case his feelings regarding one Justin Bieber weren’t clear enough, he decided to stick the boot in a little further.

“I prefer not to get any venereal diseases, whenever Justin Bieber gets near me or near my ears … it’s like hanging out with a koala. It’s just ear infections, they’re terrible,” he continued.

“It’s chlamydia of the ear.”

We've certainly heard some colourful descriptions of Bieber's music in our time, but this? This is... something else altogether.

Perhaps it was intended as a compliment; Bieber's music is indeed catchy, much like certain diseases. Or perhaps it was a straight up sledge.
