It seems Don Johnson knew what he was doing back in the eighties.
A UK poll has discovered women rate men with light stubble as “tough, mature, aggressive, dominant and masculine.” They rated stubbly guys as the best partners for flings or marriage, full beards were rated the least attractive and clean-shaven men rated lowest for social maturity, masculinity and dominance.
Have women been influenced by the stubbled Johnny Depp and George Clooney? Evolutionary experts say facial hair is a sign of aggression because “it boosts the apparent size of the lower jaw, emphasising the teeth as weapons.”
Oh yeah. That’s totally it.

I hate designer stubble. It looks so contrived. And although some guys with stubble look hot, I have sensitive skin and get really bad welts if i kiss my man when he has stubble. It sucks!
May I just say I think Gerard Butler and James McAvoy are sexy as. And Ewan McGregor. It is a coincidence they are all Scottish.
I just had to tell someone!
I just Do. Not. Get. It.
I can't ABIDE "designer stubble" on men's faces (nor women's legs, but that's another matter entirely...)
It just looks plain scruffy and ungroomed. Sexy? PLEASE!! I even find very, very few men look good with moustaches or beards (and we won't go into the retro designer twirly sideburns) Designer stubble looks like something you'd use to scrub the saucepans.
When we see yet another celeb on tv looking unshaven, my husband says (so many times it's become boring) "Oh look... with all his money, he still can't afford a razor!"
A smooth, clean-shaven face is the only way to go. Feels so nice, too...
