This glass-bottomed swimming pool is not for the faint of heart.

You can now swim in a glass-bottomed pool while looking down at the busy road 500 feet below. Yep, this is an aquatic adventure not for the fainthearted.

Dubbed the ‘Sky Pool’, the infinity pool sits on the 42nd floor of the Market Square Tower and extends 10 feet over the side of the imposing building in Houston, Texas.

Footage has emerged of one brave swimmer walking the length of the pool, and if you don’t like heights you might want to look away now.

The original video has been viewed more than two million times on Facebook and shared by over 31,000 people. Reactions to the video on social media are mixed, with some people excited to try it (liars!), and one commenting: “This is the coolest idea ever, I wanna go here”.

While others, well, they were bloody terrified.

“Ummmm noooo. I think I’ll pass on that trip to the pool,” wrote one commenter.

“I don’t think I understand what it is! Do you pay to do whatever it is the person is doing?” added another.

“I hope someone got fired for this.”

If you fancy a dip in the Sky Pool, it’ll set you back a cool US$1805 ($2412 AUD) week to rent a 564-square for studio in the building or US$18,715 (around $25 000 AUD) per a month for the 2993 square foot penthouse.
