Watch the first footage of the Friends 'reunion'.

If there had ever been a Friends/Seinfeld crossover episode I assume it would have been called The One Where Nothing Really Happens.

It would probably have involved Elaine dating Ross while George followed Rachel around, obsessed with her hair and Monica and Jerry drove Joey, Phoebe and Kramer mad talking about their preferred cleaning products.

But that didn’t happen.

Instead The One Where Nothing Really Happens looks to be the perfect title for the hotly anticipated “Friends reunion” set to air in the United States on February 21.

First of all it’s not really a Friends reunion. There’s no new episodes, no one is in character, and Matthew Perry will apparently be phoning it in. No, really, he’s Skyping from London.

But, this is the first time the gang has been reassembled since the show wrapped so people are pretty excited.

NBC, the network that produced Friends, brought the stars back together for a tribute to director James Burrows, who directed many of the most familiar 90’s comedies including Cheers, Fraiser and Will and Grace.

The special was filmed last weekend, and also produced this Instagram picture of the Friends gang.

And then this happened. #TBBT #friends

Friends is clearly the biggest drawcard though, with the new promo released overnight, only pausing long enough to hear from that cast.

“Was there a clause in your contract saying that you wouldn’t sleep with each other?” they are asked.

Lisa Kudrow then replies: “David say something.”

That’s all you get for now, but don’t worry the special is only two weeks away.
