Watch Fox News presenters make 70 misogynistic remarks in just six horrifying minutes.

“There’s gotta be some downside to having a woman [be] president.”

“Men should be able to veto women’s abortions.”

“Know your role and shut your mouth.”

“Most women are happier at home. They are pretending that they like working… you’re making a mistake, you would be much happier at home with a husband and children.”

Ahhhhhhhh. These are just some of the delightful, sexist gems served up in a brilliant compilation of Fox News U.S. broadcasts.

Compiled by Media Matters for America, the six-minute video splices together mind-numbingly archaic views of the world, including, “men are allowing women to take over the world” and “female breadwinners are a recipe for disharmony within the home”.

The resulting video is equal parts brilliant and sickening.

Its release comes after the head of Fox News, married man Roger Ailes, was pushed out the office in July following a downpour of sexual assault allegations from current and former Fox employees.

One of those women, Gretchen Carlson, alleged her contract with the network was not renewed because she rejected her boss's sexual advances. Another, Andrea Tantaros, claimed she reported Ailes' lewd and abusive behaviour in 2015, only to be demoted and subsequently taken off the air months later.

Ailes replacements were two men - Jack Abernethy and Bill Shine - who have both worked for the company and under the disgraced 76-year-old since 1996.
