Fifi Box shares the Halloween 'mummy fail' that left daughter Trixie with just one treat.

On Halloween night, Fifi Box seemed to do everything right.

She dressed her daughter, four-year-old Trixie, in the perfect costume and set out to go trick-or-treating in her neighbourhood.

There was just one problem: at 7pm, there were hardly any other children on the street, and most of her neighbours had already given out all of the lollies they had on hand.

That means little Trixie was left with just “ONE Freddo frog and a stick you picked up off the ground” in her Halloween goodie bag.

Sharing an image of her “mummy fail” on Instagram, the radio host said she was “so busy” she wasn’t able to get home in time for peak trick-or-treating time.

The 40-year-old also shared an image of a delightful neighbour who rushed back inside to find a treat for Trixie and her friend.

“I don’t think we’ve got much left, unfortunately,” the woman can be heard saying, before adding, “let’s have a look”.

“Thank you to the lovely lady who raced back to her kitchen to find a Freddo frog in her kitchen so this expedition wasn’t a complete fizzer,” Fifi captioned the video.

But Fifi’s followers were quick to point out a very important fact: she tried, and that makes her a “super mum”, regardless of the outcome.

“The fact you got dressed up and you both look absolutely fab and u went out, is a super mum right there (sic),” one fan wrote.

“No mummy fail at all.”

“Never a fail when you put in the effort and still trick and treat!” said another.
