We’ve all been there. You’ve somehow managed to recreate an eye makeup tutorial from Instagram, and you’re seriously considering starting your own YouTube channel, when you notice that your hair is greasier than a piece of fried chicken.
Do you sacrifice your total fluke eye makeup or ply your greasy tresses with copious amounts dry shampoo and hope for the best?
NEITHER.
Last month a 22-year-old woman named Lauren shared her eye makeup shower hack on Tumblr and it's nothing short of genius.
The Texas resident posted a photo of herself wearing eye goggles in the shower to protect her eye makeup and false eyelashes, and another photo of the end result - clean hair and untouched eye makeup. She captioned the photo: "I am a f**king innovator".
"My hair is greasy and by the end of the day I had my makeup on and I wanted to go out with my friends, but I'd be dead before I wasted another pair of lashes and 45 minutes blending eye shadow,” she told Buzzfeed News.
Although Lauren's hack is obviously the cleverest thing we've seen on the internet all year, many people commented on the red line the goggles left on her face.

"That red line was gone by the time I finished getting dressed," Lauren replied.
While others asked why she didn't just use dry shampoo.
"I was just sharing a funny idea, not giving a makeup lesson... [and to people asking where the goggle strap is], PLOT TWIST – no strap. I suctioned those f**kers to my face."
Ah Lauren, you're hilarious. Why didn't we think of this first?

Yeah, no. Those red marks aren't disappearing quickly on me.... I once straightened my hair for a special event. Showered after said straightening. Wore a shower cap. Shower cap red marks were visible about 4 hours later. Be wary people, very wary 😉
Not a bad idea but I'd do the dry shampoo first....
