This actress actually let news of her engagement slip a few months ago when she referred to her “fiancé” in a travel diary for vogue.com. But now, 29-year-old Kate Bosworth has officially announced her engagement by tweeting a picture of herself wearing her engagement ring.

‘This photo was taken by my husband-to-be!’ she wrote. ‘Thank you all for the wonderful engagement wishes… We feel truly blessed.’

Kate is engaged to director/writer/producer Michael Polish, who she began seeing shortly after splitting with True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgård last July.

The pair met on the set of their movie Big Sur, which is due out later this year.

‘He’s a special one. There’s nobody in the world I admire or respect more,’ she told the Sunday Times Style magazine.  ‘When I look at him, it’s not a crazy infatuation, it’s more like we are each other’s life partners.’

Kate has been notoriously quiet about her personal life since her high-profile engagement to Orlando Bloom.

Snooki is on the cover of People magazine with her baby, Lorenzo, just six days after giving birth to him. The Jersey Shore star reckons that her partying days are long gone now, saying, “When I got pregnant, everything changed. I’m a new person.” That’s probably a wise decision, Snooks.

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are calling it quits. The stars of Parks and Recreation and Up All Night, who wed in 2003, have confirmed that they are officially ending their marriage. They have two sons – Archie, 3, and Abel, 2.
