I started crying lest than 30 secs in. Watching these videos always brings back memories of my dad coming home from his Middle East deployment years ago. The golden retriever with greeting the female soldier reminds me of my goodies and my late dog greeting my dad.

This is beautiful. My partner is in the forces and I just found out he is heading to the Middle East after Christmas. After everything happening recently and another two Diggers burried today, I feel sick to the stomach.
A few weeks ago there was a picture of an US soldier who died. At his funeral his dog sat under his casket and didn’t move. Please remember those who don’t come home.

Today was so sad. Rest in peace to those fallen diggers. My partner is in the forces too, and he’s always said that he’ll get me a pup when he deploys – something that will look after me.

I thought all cats were like that but then I found out about Burmese, and got one, he always greeted me and loved my company. They’re well-known to be the most dog-like cats.

I have a burmese/persian cross 14 years old, who loves our family only. We went away last weekend and while packing she had to sit in every case to make sure we took some of her (fur) with us. When we came home she follows us around for an hour telling us off for going away, and then lapping up evey hug and tummy rub she gets as it is the only way to stop her talking.

Our six month old kitten will wake up the second her hears my boyfriend’s key in the front door, start mewing and race to meet him as he walks inside. It’s beautiful. But it’s also an entirely restrained reaction compared to what happens when we go visit my mum and her two dogs flip out entirely – the German Shepherd gets so excited that she can’t do anything but turn in tiny circles and the LabxStaffy jumps on the spot, getting higher every time. It’s so great!

My cat waits by the front door for me to come home. If I’ve been gone more than a few hours he’ll maul me with purrs and licking and pawing until I give him some quality time. He follows me all over the house, stays up if I’m studying late and keeps my feet warm in winter. He’s beautiful and affectionate, and possibly a little needy!
