'Winning' Bachelorette Sam responds to the news that Blake and Louise are 'official'

Last week, ‘winning’ Bachelorette Sam sent messages asking Bachie Blake (her former fiance) and finalist Louise (her friend) to share their side of the growing rumours that they were together.

And she got…*crickets*…

Now Sam has her answer. And she got it via her Twitter feed on Friday when Woman’s Day announced that they have an exclusive with the couple, who have been living together in an undisclosed location and wearing matching outfits.

Sam spoke to the Daily Mail at an event last night and said that she had secretly hoped the rumours weren’t true.

She said: ‘As you can imagine, it’s heartbreaking. I had a feeling that this was going to happen but I found out through Woman’s Day on my Twitter feed… and that’s disappointing”.

“You would think that they’d have the respect to tell me personally, but there’s all the media hype and they’ve sold their story. I feel like it’s quite disrespectful.”

“It could have been handled so much better than it was. There’s no point in having feelings for him. I feel quite numb really.”

Sam said she felt betrayed by Louise – and that she was going to give the dating scene a miss for a while.

Sam also spoke to the Herald Sun, saying that she’d lost respect for the pair: “If they had a conversation with me, instead of sneaking around and selling their story … I would have had a lot more respect for them… It was really disappointing they didn’t come to me first and say: ‘By the way, this has happened’. I think I deserved that.”

Unfortunately for Sam, details of Blake and Louise’s partnership is going to make the leap from the internet to magazine racks and the tv tomorrow, when Woman’s Day and The Project both run tell-all interviews.

This one is Zoe. You’re welcome.

Two other former Bachelorettes have also had their say on the awkward breakup/hookup.

Zoe (of the Curly Hair), has decided to be neutral in the affair. But she admits it is a little weird.

The pharmacist said, “I’m surprised because we’re all really good friends, and I’m surprised that Louise hasn’t contacted Sam – as far as I’m aware. If it was me in that position I’d call…They’re both my good friends [Louise and Sam] and I guess we all went into the house dating the same guy.”

Laurina on the other hand has ditched any notion of neutrality and given the new couple her blessing.

Laurina told the Daily Mail “I could see Blake and Louise together, whereas I couldn’t really see him and Sam together…I think he’s more compatible with Louise.”

In what feels like a thinly veiled dig, but could just be Laurina’s natural wisdom, she said, ‘I am happy for Louise and Blake I want them to be happy. I think she fits the mould of what he seems to be looking for rather than us other girls.”

Laurina saves the world from Emotional Terrorism

“It’s unfortunate for Sam that it turned out this way but if he’s not going to cherish her we don’t want him to be with her anyway.”

As for whether a Laurina and Bachie love match was ever on the cards, Laurina says she never loved him anyway: “I didn’t really have much of a connection with him to be honest.”

And never one to understate things, Laurina has made a subtle analogy: “Being on the show was the best experience of my life even though it is complete emotional terrorism!”
