Portia DeGeneres has revealed in an Oprah Winfrey interview, how her weight plummeted to 37kg during the worst stages of her eating disorder.
She described how almost felt “proud” of the self control it took to survive on just 300 calories a day and felt compelled to run off chewing gum.
The 37-year-old is promoting her autobiography Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain. In it, she says it was her wife Ellen DeGeneres who eventually helped her recover from her eating disorder.

I'm glad we're talking about eating disorders, but I just WISH these celebrities would not always talk about their lowest weights. An eating disorder is an eating disorder and is serious, regardless of how little or much the sufferer weighed.
Started reading this book last night on ibooks just the sample... gonna go buy it now. It's so honest and despite her seemingly unreal life now it's very relatable. I'm glad she is happy now.
