Martha Stewart thinks Gwyneth Paltrow should "stick to acting".

Martha Stewart is going to have to bake some seriously good apple pies to make up for this one.

The lifestyle guru has lashed out at Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow for trying to steal her lifestyling thunder.

Gwyneth’s own online lifestyle page, Goop, which advises us ordinary people on everything from bed-making to the fifteen best uses of kale and kettlebells (probably), has been gaining momentum since its 2008 founding. But Martha is not happy about it.

In an interview with Net-a-Porter’s Porter magazine, she said the Sliding Doors actress and Goop founder, 41, should stick to acting.

“She just needs to be quiet. She’s a movie star,” Stewart, 73, said.

“If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart”.

It’s a change of tune from Martha, who was openly praising the Academy Award-winning actress Gwyneth less than 12 months ago. In an October 2013 interview with Bloomberg Television, Martha said “I haven’t eaten at Gwyneth’s house and I don’t know how she lives, but if she’s authentic, all the better. I certainly hope she is. She really wants to be part of the lifestyle business. She’s a charming, pretty person who has a feeling for lifestyle. Fine, good.”

Page Six reports Stewart also aired her views on Orange is the New Black actress Taylor Schilling in the interview, saying she was “not good enough” to carry the lead role.

“They could have done that so much better. That girl is not good enough, the lead actress,” Stewart said.

“I met the real Piper [Kerman]. She was in prison either the same time or after me, and I talked to her about it.”

Let’s remember that Martha was in prison herself just over a decade ago, for obstructing justice in an insider trading investigation of her 2001 sale of ImCone stock.

In the same Net-a-Porter interview, Martha also lashed out at Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg and her best-selling book Lean In, which encourages women to fight their barriers in the workplace. “Too much time is spent…” said Stewart. “Isn’t ‘leaning in’ spending a lot of time? … I think being entrepreneurial is something women should strive for, rather than working up the corporate ladder.”

Cooking. Cleaning. Entrepreneuring. Being a prison inmate. Looks like Martha wants the monopoly of advice on one too many subjects.
