When I first heard about this book by Madonna’s brother, I thought “nasty, bitter sibling”. I still think that but this interview with the US Today Show is quite compelling.
money, money, money….thats all I heard.
Why would a 96 year old need a driver? Sounds like HE wants the driver…what about the other siblings….they can help. He has NO life, NO money and he wants to be her equal?….not gonna happen! bye bye christopher….loser! You don’t do that to family. ever.
The book is going to be juicy! Madonna sure has an interesting life, so there will be something to read about… Although it is sad about their feud,
her brother sounds ok. Not much of a villain.
i think he’s VERY strange. and i don’t really get what he’s doing or where he’s coming from… this is DEFINITELY not the way to resolve issues, independently of whether or not the stuff he says is true. That thing about the grandma was just a low point…and the whole 7 digit figure thing doesn’t really give him much credibility either…
i’m not a big Madonna fan or anything, but this is just SAD.
i dont know…its kind sad that he has to go this far…shame since they were so close once. Madonna seems a little desperete to hold onto her youth with the new cheekbones and lifted face and collaborations with the ‘latest’ creative types…its off putting!
Wow. Well originally I thought that was mean brother turning on his sister.. but no one really does know Madonna do they? And that was shocking about her grandmother! Although I wonder if perhaps Madonna isn’t too concerned about the book as 1) he’s not giving too much away and 2) most importantly its generating interest about her… something she’s trying to do herself all the time now!
Madonna’s had a facelift? Gee. Really? A 50 year old female icon had a bit of work done to maintain her image and sustain her career in an industry that can be a little less than forgiving on women of that age. Any age, come to think of it. Well, I find that extremely difficult to believe.
Duh! Madonna’s had a facelift. What else have you got, Christopher? If so, then it truly is very good work… I’d like to know who her cosmetic surgeon is. But first, I’ll have to write a pissy, whiny story about someone ‘I love’ for a ? seven number figure to pay for it!
It is a compelling interview. You can sense some ambivalence about whether or not writing the book was the right thing to do. But then, an obscene amount of money has fortunately given him the clarity he was looking for.
It seems a shame that Madonna will never really get the ‘right of reply’ to respond to everything that’s written about her in the book, because no-one gives a continental about Christopher Ciccione’s life!
I just hope that he’s going to look after his Nanna, now that telling the world his sister’s not doing it well enough has earnt him enough money to do so.
i saw the other part of his interview yesterday and i find him a little bit strange, he definitely appears to be conflicted over what he’s doing and clearly wants to give some info away but not all, so that makes it difficult for him. will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
wow – I think he is genuine. You see so much over 28 years of Madonna that we can’t help but notice little aspects of her personality. I think she is a savvy business woman, a real go-getter, and perhaps (being famous might make you a little paranoid) letting that seep into her family life a little too much. She is definately driven.
I don’t think a book is the right way to sort family problems, but maybe he was sick of it and wants people to know!
