In news that may not surprise you the tiniest bit, Kyle Sandilands and Prince William are not best friends.
The radio shock jock is apparently fuming that he didn’t get to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at a dinner for 200 guests at the Opera House in Sydney last week. He told his on-air sidekick Jackie O that he was “devastated” and “pissed off” when Wills and Kate walked right past their dinner table without so much as a royal smile.
Jackie explained the procedure: “We were instructed before they arrived, ‘Everyone is assigned a table. Do not approach them. We are going to take them around to speak to you guys.”
And Kyle recounts the moment his chances at befriending William passed him by: “Just as they got to our table, all of a sudden … the Australian Army do some sort of Tiananmen Square military arm-lock thing,” he said. “So we’re behind the arms and the Royal Highnesses are in front of the arms, and they just shoot through where we are. Everyone met them except me and Jackie and the poor bastards on our table.”
“It was almost like they were briefed,” Jackie suggested.
“I was devastated, and mind you, a little bit p***ed,” Sandilands said.
But could Kyle have actually been too drunk to meet the royals? Or too dishevelled, perhaps? Sounds possible.
“Once you got inside the Opera House it was like a microwave oven,” said Kyle, who guzzled a few drinks to cool himself down. “A lot of people don’t realise that I don’t drink alcohol, but I smashed a few champagnes when I was there so I was blind.
“And it was very hot, so I was sweating like a dog, covered in sweat … I looked like I was on pingas.”
Is it possible the royal minders spotted a sweaty, champagne-drunk Kyle and tactfully side-stepped the introduction? Do you think Kyle is the kind of person who should be meeting the royal family anyway?

Who is he?
No l was shocked that he had received an invite to meet them. He is a crude, rude, vile, ignorant sexist pig. And the smart security did probably spot he was drunk and wanted to avoid any confrontation. l wonder who it was that decided to invite him.
