He was in court on murder charges, so why was Oscar Pistorius messaging Katie Price?

Can we just say, “What the?”

Katie Price
 – who used to be Jordan, in case you’re confused – has revealed in an interview that Oscar Pistorious sent her direct messages via social media, thanking her for her ‘support’ during his trial.

In March, Katie had written a column in a magazine, claiming that she would not judge Oscar Pistorious based on the media reports of him murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

“No matter who you are or where you’re from or what you do, we are all equal when it comes to judicial undertakings and no prejudice or external factors should complicate the process. I’m certainly not going to judge Oscar on other people’s theories portrayed in the media,” she wrote.

A month later, she received grateful messages from him via Twitter.

“He was direct messaging me during the case. It’s weird, isn’t it? He was saying, ‘Thanks for the support,’ and stuff. Just all general chit-chat. He was the first one to message me.

Oscar in court.

“Because I mentioned him in my column, he was referencing that. I wasn’t exactly supporting him, but everyone who goes through a trial will be the only one who knows what really happened. You’re innocent until you’re proven guilty.”

As it turns out, Oscar was proven guilty of culpable homicide, and has been sentenced to a maximum of five years in prison.

Katie now wants to go inside the prison and interview Oscar and other convicted criminals.

“I would love to go into the prisons and interview people. I would love to do something like Louis Theroux Meets… that is my dream.”

Interesting.
