Jason Biggs has made somewhat of a comeback recently with his role in hit TV show Orange Is The New Black – proving that he’s not just that guy from American Pie.
What he is proving though, is that he’s a little bit of a douche-canoe.
Appearing on Joan Rivers’ Internet show this week, 36-year-old Biggs was asked who he would save and who he would kill between 27-year-old Lindsay Lohan and 38-year-old Tara Reid and why. His answer?
“Lindsay Lohan stays. She’s got nice boobs. She really does. Tara’s body, I don’t know what’s going on with it. I don’t think she even knows what’s going on with it.”
Joan Rivers asked: “And Lindsay does?”
“Lindsay doesn’t know what’s going on with Tara’s body either,” he said in response. “No one knows what’s going on with Tara’s body.”
Effectively, Biggs said that he would hypothetically allow Reid to die, and keep Lindsay alive – because the younger actress had ‘nicer boobs’ than a woman more than 10 years her senior.
Then, when the Internet and decent people everywhere starting calling Biggs out for his fairly mean-spirited comments (not to mention the fact that he decided that the difference between life and death came down to “boobs”), he responded with the following Twitter rant.
(1) The same tabloids that make a spectacle out of @TaraReid ‘s body- insulting her without hesitation- are now trying to make a “story” out

I feel a bit for Jason. Its not like he decided that Tara had to die in the hypothetical. He could only save one person, and I think he was trying to the pithy. He failed, and he really should have chosen a less superficial reason, but I'm not sure that any reason would not have been lambasted.
Are you saying he should have refused to answer the Q altogether? He was just trying to be a good sport.
I agree with everything you have said except for the part about using a less superficial answer.
As Amanda (below) has already rightly pointed out, using a less superficial reason (ie a real response), on a comedy show no less, would have been more hurtful than the silly answer.
He could have used a silly reason that wasn't with respect to her looks. Like "I know how grumpy she is before she gets her morning coffee" or something. That would be less superficial without being hurtful.
Fair call there kam0706. I was not having a go, I misunderstood what you meant by less superficial, I mistakenly took it as providing a 'real' reason why she should die ahead of someone else.
I still agree with your other points.
Lol, this is stupid.
Jason has known Tara for years. He wouldn't have said something mean/funny if she couldn't take it.
Also.. remember tara has had all that hype over her boobs with those 'accidents' years ago. Seriously, she's an easy target and this is not a real story.
