1. Which supermodel is pregnant?

Eva Herzigova, one of the original group of powerful “supermodels” in the 1990s, is about four and a half months pregnant with her third child. Here she is on the catwalk just two weeks ago (see below).

The 39-year-old and her partner Gregorio Marsiaj already have two sons, George (5) and Philipe (21 months). Her agency, Storm Models, confirmed the news of her pregnancy this week.

3. This is possibly the coolest invention ever. Harry Potter magic just became real. A Canadian company claim to have developed the world’s first invisibility cloak.

The cloak, called Quantum Stealth, “is a material that renders the target completely invisible by bending light waves around the target. The material removes not only your visual, infrared (night vision) and thermal signatures but also the target’s shadow.”

The company isn’t giving too many other hints away, as they’d like to use it in the Canadian and US militaries. Interesting. Stay tuned – we might all be able to own one in a few years.

5. The nominations for the Golden Globes awards have been released, and much Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi etc has ensued. Keith Urban, Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman have all been nominated for Globes, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on the results come January 13th.

The past two ceremonies have been hosted by the witty Ricky Gervais, but his jokes haven’t always been to everyone’s tastes. This year, comediennes Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are taking over – and they’ve released a promo clip to give everyone a taste of what’s coming. Watch it below:

7. Would you wear it? So we know that leather skirts are SO HOT right now. And it seems that Kanye West is also a fan of the trend, considering that he wore one when performing at the Hurricane Sandy Relief concert in New York last night.

His girlfriend Kim Kardashian approved of the look, tweeting: “Awwwwwwww I’m so excited right now!!!!! He looks so cute!!”
