A former America’s Next Top Model winner has come out all guns blazing this week, trashing the show and it’s host, Tyra Banks. CariDee English, who won the show’s seventh season (sorry, we mean ‘cycle’… that word must be more ‘fierce’), says that she is having trouble getting people to take her seriously in the modeling world.

CariDee’s comments come ahead of a soon-to-be-aired Dr Phil interview with Jael Strauss – also a former contestant-  who has become severely addicted to meth since the show.

Speaking about Jael’s health situation, CariDee wrote on Gawker.com:  ‘Tyra won’t do anything [for Jael]. She provided a wonderful platform for girls to have a chance at their dream, but after there is no Tyra Mail.”

A French magazine is claiming to have topless photos of Duchess of Cambridge – and that they are going to publish them. It’s the latest headache for the royal family, who just a few weeks ago had to deal with pictures of a very naked Harry having a whole lot of naked fun in Vegas.

This from the Sydney Morning Herald:

St James’s Palace declined to comment after the magazine, Closer, said it had exclusive pictures of Kate topless on the terrace of a guest house.

Its website showed an image of the front cover with the Duchess apparently about to remove her bikini top.

The pictures were allegedly taken while Kate was on holiday with her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, in France last week.

The couple were staying in Provence at a chateau owned by Lord Linley, the Queen’s nephew, ahead of their Diamond Jubilee tour of south-east Asia and the South Pacific on behalf of the Queen.

Mail Online quoted a royal source as saying: “It is impossible to tell at this stage whether the photographs are genuine or indeed purport to show what the magazine claims, so we are having to wait and see what transpires.”

For the first time since the TomKat split, someone has leapt to the defence of Tom Cruise. Following an article published by Vanity Fair, actress Kirstie Alley – fellow scientologist and long term friend of Tom’s – has dismissed the bulk of the article as gossip. She claims it was unbalanced, as Tom wasn’t interviewed – our question is, would he have agreed to be interviewed if he had been asked?

Kirstie Alley said of the rumours about actress Nazanin Boniadi auditioning for the role of Cruises’ wife before his marriage to Katie Holmes were false. She also said: “I think that probably all religions sound bizarre to people who are not the practitioners of them. To me, it’s so normal, and probably 90 percent of the crazy stuff I hear isn’t true.”

And last but not least, we have the latest in celebrity baby news for you. 38-year-old Nick Lachey (typically referred to as “Jessica Simpson’s ex-husband”) and his 31-year-old partner, Vanessa, have welcomed a son into the world. According to People, his name is Camden John and the pair are besotted. “Love has truly been redefined for both of us,” they said. Nawwww.
