Weekend Fluff Files, the best highs (and lows) of fluff from the week. If you missed out, or you just want more, you have come to the right place! Enjoy.

1. Now here’s some beautiful news you probably weren’t expecting to hear: Fifi Box – co-host of the Fifi & Jules show across the Today Network – is pregnant. And made the announcement live on this week.

She said:

“I’ll be honest… I’ve been feeling a bit bad lately. You know how I’ve referred a couple of times to the fact that I’ll be putting on weight this summer? I thought to myself – maybe that’s a bad message to put out. I’m not trying to be irresponsible, so I should put it in context.

When I said I was going to get fat for summer – I do mean I want to get really big. Like so big that you’d almost be forgiven for thinking I have another human being inside me. In fact… I do have another human being inside me. I’M HAVING A BABY!”

When speaking about her first trimester, she said: “I’ve watched friends have babies, nobody ever goes into how much detail about how much morning sickness sucks. It’s awful. And I’m waiting for this glow to kick in – when does that happen?”

“It’s the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me. Look out, there’s another Box coming into the world!”

“The moment I saw this little baby on the ultrasound I burst into tears. it’s the most overwhelming love that I knew was out there but never experienced.”

Fifi Box

Yes the most exciting thing that’s ever happened to me is incubating in my stomach right now and I’ve never been so excited in my life. For the past few months I’ve been bonding with this little person that’s growing in my belly and it is the truest and most indescribable joy I have ever felt. I have been blessed throughout my life and loved every twist and turn in my journey, but despite the happiness I have experienced with career and friendships, there has always been something missing. I have never been much of a planner and my approach to life has been to grasp opportunities and run with them seeing where they lead, and they led me to a wonderful career. But like many women in their thirties I was starting to wonder if it had come at a cost, and for me it was the greatest cost, because despite loving my life nothing could replace what I truly wanted more than anything, to be a mother. Having spent the past few years watching friends have babies my heart has ached wondering if this blessing would ever come my way. When I first saw my little angel on the ultrasound I dissolved into tears and in that moment my heart exploded with love.

For those who don’t know I began seeing someone at the end of last year who would like to remain out of the public eye which I will respect and endeavour to protect. The focus for me is to make sure I bring a happy, healthy baby into the world who knows how much it is loved. In fact I’m a bit scared I may love it too much. Once this chubby little bundle is in my arms I’m going to smother it with kisses until it’s eighteenth birthday when it tells me to back off because I’m embarrassing them. I’m so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by an amazing family and circle of friends who have been supporting me through the most horrendous morning sickness (I don’t remember reading about that on the brochure) and like me they are all impatiently waiting for this little person to hurry up and enter the world so we can all smother it with love. From now on my main objective is to be the best mum I can be, and I can’t wait to meet this little person who I am already so in love with.

2. It’s been a week of some pretty intense hair colour changes in Hollywood.  You probably wont recognize Charlize Theron or January Jones but have a look and see…

3.To celebrate the launch of her album Unapologetic, Rihanna decided to take journalists and fans on a seven-day, seven-country tour on a (fairly pimped out) Boeing 777. But it seems that passengers on the VIP plane staged a bit of a coup, after being abandoned by the pop star after the first day.

Yep – Rihanna locked herself in the panic room of the plane and refused to come out, leaving hundreds of music journalists alone with a lot of free alcohol. Rookie error.

Apparently the crowd completely lost it, chanting “Rihanna! Save our jobs!”, “Just one quote!”, and “Occupy 747!” while Australian DJ Tim Dormer (who works for Nova in Brisbane) stripped naked and streaked through the cabin. (We’re always well represented on the world stage, don’t you think?)

Here’s the video one journalist took of the debacle (nudity warning, obviously):

4. If you have ever been forced to look at someone’s wedding album, we bet you are secretly hoping for something like this…

5. Elmo has resigned from Sesame Street. Well, to be more precise, Elmo’s puppeteer has resigned – the fluffy red puppet himself would never bail on Big Bird, Bert, Ernie and the Cookie Monster. Kevin Clash, the man who created Elmo’s high-pitched voice and child-like persona (and we KNOW that all of you who’ve ever bought your kids a ‘Tickle Me Elmo’ are reading the rest of this text in that EXACT voice) resigned from the show in the wake of an allegation that he had sex with an underaged youth.

This from Sydney Morning Herald:

Elmo with Kevin Clash

A lawsuit filed on Tuesday in federal court in New York accuses Clash of sexual abuse of a second youth. The lawsuit alleges that Cecil Singleton, then 15 and now an adult, was persuaded by Clash to meet for sexual encounters.

In a statement on Tuesday, Sesame Workshop said “the controversy surrounding Kevin’s personal life has become a distraction that none of us want,” leading Clash to conclude “that he can no longer be effective in his job.”

“This is a sad day for Sesame Street,” the statement said.

6. Kyle and Jackie O interviewed Daniel Craig this week and this is why a lot of people have been talking about it.

7. Remember Andrej Pejic – the male model who only models women’s clothing? Well, the modelling gender tables have turned. We’re introducing Casey Legler, the female model who has signed a contract with a world leading modelling agency… to model men’s fashion.

It all started when Legler’s friend, photographer Cass Bird, asked her to model as a guy for a Muse Magazine shoot. She pulled it off and landed herself a contract with Ford’s mens division.

Legler, who also works as an artist, chatted to Time magazine about her thoughts on working as a male model. And the video is just a bit awesome. Watch it below:

8. We’e warning you now. Madonna’s wardrobe malfunction this week was not pretty – but if you want, you can see it here.

9. Who gets custody of Ariel Winter?A US court has ruled that 14-year-old Modern Family star Ariel Winter’s mum will not regain custody of her daughter for the time being.

The judge based his ruling on a report from child protection investigators, which found evidence of emotional abuse by Ariel’s mother, Crystal Workman, against her daughter. Claims of physical abuse were inconclusive. The judge ruled that Ariel should stay in the custody of her older sister until a December 12 court hearing.

Ariel was removed from her mother’s care earlier this month amid allegations of emotional and physical abuse. And that her mother may have been starving her.

10. This ad for Coke is going viral. It’s so great that you can almost pretend it’s not an ad at all.
