Anderson Cooper is really not a fan of Sarah Burge aka ‘The Human Barbie’.

She’s the self-confessed plastic doll who holds the Guinness World Record for having the most plastic surgeries. She’s also famous for giving her 8-year-old daughter plastic surgery vouchers to use when she turns 18. And she apparently also gives her 15-year-old daughter botox so she doesn’t sweat on her forehead during her dance routines.

And this week US chat show host Anderson Cooper asked 51-year-old Burge to leave his show after she tried to justify the reasons behind her decisions.

Take a look at the clip.

After the show, Cooper said “I got the feeling this was about publicity for her. I regret having her on in the first place and I regret how things ended… It didn’t seem like it was an honest discussion.”

MM wrote about Sarah Burge a few months ago, when she threw her 8-year-old daughter Poppy a birthday party where the 100 guests went home with spray-tan vouchers. You can read that full post here.

So she justifies giving her daughter botox because she doesn’t want her to go to a voodoo witch doctor and do it herself? What a load! Highly doubt she’d even have thought of it if you hadn’t spent your life praising the so-called benefits of all things plastic.

Those poor girls, I really feel sorry for them.

being old is not pejorative. and baggage is sexist and beneath you. insult her any way you like, but don’t put women down and buy in to male views of a woman’s worth being her beauty and her age. you just vindicated all her terrible views about herself and aging by calling her that.

be better than that. “old baggage” is sexist and terrible.

I can’t believe the comments I am reading. She is clearly an abusive parent bringing a young girl up in a dangerous environment. Yes she probably needs psychological help but it’s not an excuse for deliberating exposing a child to a dangerous and unnecessary medical procedure. IN the mean time she should be under 24 hr supervision until she learns how to be a parent.

Good on Cooper Anderson for exposing the dark underbelly of the child exploitation business that places these kids in danger.

I don’t defend this woman’s stupidity with the Botox etc for her daughter, but please. Abusive? Granted, I think she should be ordered to not get any unnecessary cosmetic surgery on her minor child, but supervised 24 hours a day? In what world would that happen, for starters and secondly if you think this is abusive parenting, then you lead a very sheltered life.

Abusive, yes. Dangerous, yes. A few screws loose, yes.

Did anyone else check out the photos at the end of the article???

the article and video is NOTHING compared to the photos down the bottom .. eg the photo of her & her daughter, after she had given her then 7 yo a voucher for a boob job .. she’s 7 for goodness sake! AND check out the pic of her and her daughter in tape & knickers posing with a riffle and a dancing pole….

What kind of body and self image is this poor child going to have / have already! When you give a girl (she’s pretty too, no disfigurements from accidents or birth) plastic surgery vouchers at the ages of 7 & 8 … for things like breast enhancement .. the poor girls.

i think he just had her on the show to show a bit of controversy to get viewers…to boost his ratings somehow but yeah I think it was wrong on his part…why invite someone on just to kick them off…he obviously didnt think it through…very unprofessional on his part.
Im sure Oprah and other great journalists interviewed people that made their skin crawl but didnt act the way he did.

I actually think she’s quite a smart lady. If you look at different interviews she explains that the reason she gave her daughter cosmetic surgery vouchers is because she herself works in the industry. Those places usually offer their employees some kind of remuneration package. She stated in the interview that the voucher is just like a bond and her daughter (who she said is not allowed surgery til 18) can cash it in when she is older to put towards university. Also in regards to the 15 yr old having Botox…..ok not everyone’s cup of tea but we don’t know how badly she was sweating. I had severe sweating for awhile so If I had the money I’d have done it in a heart beat. Plus no Dr would do it if it’s unsafe. Botox is used for sooooo many medical procedures now. I will be getting botox for my migraines as absolutely nothing works. And another thing he ex almost killed her so she had surgery to fix the damage. I am willing to bet she suffered extreme emotional abuse as well and thought she was ugly and if surgery fixed that then good for her. She seems like a positive confident and extremely polite person (ESP considering all the crap she gets). I’ll admit I thought she was a bit wacky but seeing those interviews and being a fellow surviver of abuse I think she’s doing her best as a woman and a mum and we should all cut her some slack.

Well that’s rude! No I am not trolling. I just happen to be taking a different view which I am entitled to. I reveiled personal stuff on that comment so I would appreciate it if u were a bit nicer. I have also studied human behavior so I’ve learnt not to take things at face value. It would be nice if we could all do the same. Have some compassion towards others because you will never know what another person has been through.

Gosh people have some funny ideas! Trolling? What on earth? I totally agree with what you’ve said, Olive. I saw Sarah on a program recently (was it the one on ABC2 about Botox but can’t remember). She was completely disfigured by her boyfriend – she actually looked like she was mauled by a werewolf – horrific. I don’t agree with her views and she’s definitely got issues but we shouldn’t judge. I just feel sorry for her.

Anderson Cooper is a good journalist (IMO) and He did the right thing, this woman was trying to find excuses to defend her using botox on her daughter, Even saying she knows more than a board certified plastic surgeon about the uses of botox. I doubt he arranged for her to be on the show, it would have been his producers and by the sound of it he did the right thing!

This host was so rude he should be taken off air until he’s retrained. You don’t invite a guest onto your show and then publicly humiliate them with your personal view. He’s supposed to be the objective one here!

Why does he have to be objective? It’s a talk show, not a news broadcast.

Because the job of a talk show host is to promote ‘talk’, is it not? Publicly making judgements or in this case, humiliating the guest, lynch mob style, is not very useful for encouraging chat, at least not in my book. This was just ugly.

Anderson Cooper is an outstanding journalist.

Some people you just can’t reason with, its pointless, you need to walk away – that is what he effectively did. Perhaps not airing the show would have been a better choice instead of this incidence – this would have been a producers decision not his.

She actually started to get Botox after being severely beaten by an ex. The Botox filled the gaps where she had severe scarring. Obviously it made her feel better because she looked better and took away the physical scarring but to her own admission she got addicted to it. So there is a bit of history behind it.
The 15 yr old is her step daughter. She was actually on a show on ABC2 last night.

This is really sad for the Mum and the Daughter.. Firstly for the Mum as she thinks that she has to do all that fake stuff to get attention or whatever you call it. I am sure that she was beautiful before she became a world record holder. Just to think how she must of felt about herself to get all that work done. Sad for the girl, as she is taking on her mothers stuff, I suppose, feeling the need to be something she is not… really sad….

That was just weird and uncomfortable to watch! Why did he have her on the show in the first place? She has some serious issues but publicly humiliating her like that still doesn’t seem right.

On another note. She looks NOTHING like Barbie! neither her face nor he body resemble Barbie in any way so I am struggling to understand what she thinks she is achieving?

I admire him for realizing he’d done the wrong thing by inviting her to HIS show and telling her.
There’s a reason humans sweat and it is actually good for you. It regulates you body’s temperature, releases toxins AND keeps your skin soft.
Her poor kids are not going to know what “real life” is.

I agree she was probably giving botox to her daughter for the wrong reasons (sweat being inconvenient for her) however botox has been used medically to help those who do suffer from excessive sweating .

Why did he invite her on in the first place? He knew who she was and what she was about, and she would have rehearsed with someone backstage, so nothing she said should come as a suprise. I think this was extremely unprofessional and just plain rude.

Well said. He knew what she was about & all interviewers have back up questions when the lead theme isn’t working. This was a publicity stunt at her expense.

I really feel for her as she is clearly a deeply troubled person and her addiction to surgery/botox is her desperate attempt to seize back control in at least one area of life, much like victims of anorexia.

That aside, she seems like a lovely person & a loving (albeit screwed up) mother. She thinks she is doing the right thing & would be unaware of the psychological damage she has caused her children.

Putting a damaged person under a spotlight & then telling them they are dreadful helps nobody.

      I agree.

I like Anderson Cooper and of course I think this woman is a bit of a freak, but there was no need to humiliate her like that. There are millions of women in the world who are WAY worse mothers than her. Sad but true.
