When Katy Perry performed her song Wide Awake at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Canada overnight she wore a glittery nude body stocking, covered by some pretty impressive giant butterfly wings.

But when she unexpectedly received an award for Favourite Interntional Artist minutes later, the 27-year-old singer had to walk back onto stage in that same costume.

“I had no idea that I was going to win an award after I’d performed, I would have put on more clothes!” she said.

But she played it cool. And covered her backside and her boobs with the trophy.

She also arrived at the awards with an army of mini-mes, sporting her most famous looks. (Pics in the gallery).
