A month ago you might not have heard of Bobbi Kristina Brown.
But since the death of her mother, Whitney Houston, the 19 year old has become one of the most-talked-about celebrities around.
The latest rumors are that Bobbi Kristina is engaged to her “adoptive” brother, Nick Gordon. Nick, 19, is not a blood relative of the Houston family, or even a legally adopted member, he reportedly moved in with the family more than a decade ago.
And apparently the pair have been spotted holding hands and kissing in public. Some media reports suggest they’re engaged. Others – including Gordon – say they’re just supporting each other during a rough time. Which sounds fair enough.
But Whitney Houston’s mother, said what they were doing was “incestuous.”

if anyone is a fan of The Royal Tenenbaums they will understand my weakness for this story… it should be wrong, but Margot and Richie belong together dammit!

It appears to be a bit of a beat up, I’ll jump on my high horse when there is definitely a horse to jump on!
Regardless of what’s going on here, I feel for them having to deal with this kind of “scandal” so soon after her mother’s death.

If gay marriage is right then so is this.

Actually by law you can’t marry a legally adopted sibling…but it appears they are not.

It doesn’t matter if they are related by blood the point is that they were raised as brother and sister so it’s definitely crossing boundaries.
Seems to be a very sad and confusing time for this family :/

If he isn’t related to her, and if he’s not her adopted brother in any legal sense, then how is their relationship “incestuous” or wrong???
Why is the media picking on this poor girl? Leave her alone!

That’s what Woody said.

If he has been living with the family since they were both kids, then there is the concern that there may have been abuse since childhood, and the issue of “consent” then becomes null and void.
This is probably less relevant in this situation because they are the same age. It’s more of a concern when one sibling is considerably older.
