Best and Worst - May 7

Do you remember the Royal Wedding? seems like ages ago when we watched Kate Middleton and Prince William walk down the aisle, although it can be said that many were watching Pippa (we have a gallery of her here in case you were a Pippa watcher)  and many others only had eyes for Beatrice’s hat.  As Australia recovered from the wedding we were treated to more frocks at the Logies where the speeches made nearly as much impact as the fashion.  And talking of fashion – check out our gallery of the Met Ball here. The Met Ball is a veritable who’s who of Hollywood and the pictures are definitely worth  looking at. And talking of fashion – have you revealed your first fashion crush?

But all things wedding and fashion came to a crashing halt with the news that Osama Bin Laden had been killed in Pakistan.  It seems the world is still discussing every detail of the operation and they will be for quite some time.  Fascinating history that we are living through.

Elsewhere on Mamamia this week we have debated domestic violence, the use of mobile phones, the carrying of condoms, dating husbands, lying to your kids and who pays when you go out with a friend (or a partner).  We have tried to help a reader who suffers from anxiety and collectively we helped mother’s in developing countries. Amazingly we  even built a book shelf, well at least Louise did – we just admired it.

And while you are in watching mode – for all those that missed the Mamamia Live on Tuesday night you can watch it online here.

Without further ado I’ll get started on my Best and Worst:

Best: A spot of late night shopping tonight at new Sydney fashion store, Zara. I came home with a green jumper, a hooded jacket and a cable knit dress. I hope this is still my best after I try it all on! The queues for the change room were massive and I didn’t have the patience. I think the queue outside the store was a little manufactured, having said that it was mayhem in there. I’d recommend a look in a few weeks when the novelty has worn off for most shoppers. I was surprised at how cheap everything was, my green jumper was only $25.

Worst: I had a week of complete strangers and acquaintances telling me I didn’t look pregnant. Their disbelief was incredulous, like I made the whole thing up. My baby bump is getting there but I have become pretty sensitive about people commenting on my body. And I have a feeling it is only going to get worse once it becomes more obvious…
