Ed Sheeran just shared a very awkward paparazzi moment.

Ed Sheeran is no stranger to the paparazzi.

But tonight on The Project, the 25-year-old shared a particularly awkward moment he had with a photographer on Bondi beach.

The singer and songwriter took a year off recently, saying his “fans were sick of me,” but he knew his decision to take a break would mean nothing to the paparazzi.

During his time off, he came to Sydney, and was staying in Bondi for one night.

“I was with my label boss,” he began. “And his kids went swimming in the sea, and obviously when kids are little they get naked. And I’m walking back with the kid, and this paparazzi pops out and takes a photo of me and this naked two-year-old.”

Both the live audience and the panel laughed, as Sheeran said, “I was like ‘what are you doing?'”

“Isn’t that weird?” he asked the panel, who all passionately agreed.

“I was just like dude…this is really not okay for you to take pictures of a naked child,” he said.

In response, Waleed Aly said, “I think that’s a principle we can all agree with.”

Personally, I’m not proud of the fact that our paparazzi would go to such extreme lengths for a photo of Ed Sheeran. But I’m glad he has a sense of humour about it.
