Married at First Sight's Clare Verrall takes a 'mum break' of a very different variety.

Everybody knows that looking after a baby is very hard work.

And anybody that’s ever looked after a sick, naughty or young puppy will tell you that sometimes, it feels just as messy, difficult and tiring as raising a human.

Just ask Married At First Sight star Clare Verrall, who shared her unconventional ‘mum break’ for her fans on Instagram, highlighting the challenges of being a “Furbaby Mum”.

This is usually a human Mum post, but here’s one from a Furbaby Mum. Out for a drink because I need a two hour foster dog mumma break from cleaning up poop, urine & puke. Hodor has a cold meaning he keeps sneezing giant green boogas on me, Dutchy stole a huge chuck of roast pork fat last night & now has the runs, Lily our pound girl almost dislocated my arm on her second ever walk because evidently she is scared of strollers (dogs are weird) and my latest rescue Coco has a prolapsed rectum & poops accidental everywhere inside (poor baby – surgery for her Wednesday!) When I get home it’s back to poop pick up, steam cleaning & mopping all through the day & at 3 hourly intervals through the night. Now though, champagne. #BreakTime #SparklingPlease #JoysOfRescue #ItsAllWorthIt #MumLife (sort of!)

After reading that dramatic doggy ordeal, we feel like WE need a glass of champagne too.  But, it was back to business for Clare after her quick outing.

Clare has made no secret of the fact that she is passionate about animal rescue, often taking in dogs in need of love and medical care to her own home.

NEW DOG IN RESCUE UPDATE AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Spoke to the vet & Coco is very malnourished, riddled with worms & has a prolapsed rectum (I don’t recommend doing a google image search on that!!) she’s been wormed (so we can tick that off the list!) We can fix her right up with surgery, lots of love & quality food. She weighs only 6.5kgs despite being 10 months old. However, we need your help to raise the funds for her operation as we are rescue & are not running our first fundraising event until the end of next month. At the moment, all the premium food, initial vet visits, worming, flea treatments etc all come straight out of my pocket & to be 100% honest with you all I have a major back issue that means I can’t work full time so the dogs are being fed before I am (not joking – they had BARF with grain free meals for mutts for dinner last night, I had baked beans). So I have set up a gofundme page to get the ball rolling on this so we can get Coco her surgery & out of pain ASAP. The price may go up once her blood work comes in, but I’ve started it at the minimum funds we need just for her surgery. This little girl deserves the world & needs your help! If you can donate whatever you can afford, even if it’s $5 that would be greatly appreciated. I love this group & know you guys will share the post (can be shared from my page as it is public & the group isn’t) & will be generous ???? Just days ago, Clare brought 10 month old French Bulldog Chanel into her home, reaching out to fans to raise money for life saving surgery.

“Chanel is in rescue simply because her owner bought a designer dog, and couldn’t afford the vet bills that come with the breed. If you can’t afford $5000 in random vet bills, don’t buy a bulldog people!!! Now it’s up to me to raise the money so this little bunny can be all fixed up, find a forever home & live a wonderful life,” she wrote.
