CELEB NEWS: Khloe Kardashian files for Divorce

Khloe Kardashian files for Divorce.

E! News have confirmed that reality star Khloe Kardashian, 29, has filed for divorce from her husband of four years Lamar Odom, 34.

The couple, who were married in 2009 after a month long engagement, have been estranged for months after it was revealed that former NBA basketball player Lamar, was struggling with a crack addiction.

The youngest Kardashian sister opened up about her troubled marriage on the last season of her families hit reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians, but was yet to confirm any details.

Khloe posted a message on her Instagram account yesterday that said “I am strong because I’ve been weak. I am fearless because I’ve been afraid. I am wise because I’ve been foolish.”

The news comes after Khloe’s mother and momager Kris separated from her husband of 22 years Bruce Jenner earlier this year.

Beyonce releases a new album without telling anyone.

So, yesterday Beyonce just released a new album. Without telling anyone. Like, she actually just uploaded her new eponymous album to iTunes and said: “Here ya go, universe.” (Note: she may or may not have actually said that.) Fourteen new songs. Eighteen new videos. And a booklet.

“I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it,” Beyonce said about why she released it as a surprise. “I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”

We’re not sure if we’re furious that such a momentous occasion has been sprung on us with absolutely no time to emotionally prepare ourselves, or jubilant that Queen Bey managed to pull this off.

Meet the new 2dayFM Breakfast team

The King and Queen of Sydney breakfast radio are moving on and out to Mix 106.5 and their replacements have finally been revealed. It’s official: taking over at Kyle and Jackie O’s 2Day FM slot are none other than… Jules Lund, Sophie Monk and Merrick Watts and Mel B. Yep, the Spice Girl. The news was tweeted last night by entertainment writer Peter Ford, and Melissa Hoyer, the entertainment editor for news.com.au. The official announcement from 2DayFM was planned for today, and they’ve posted it on their website, writing:

Come on down Jules Lund, MerrickWatts and Sophie Monk who will be joined daily with the outrageously talented and not-so-scary Mel B! This show’s going to be a blast and you gotta be happy with that!

Jules Lund previously worked on the afternoon drive-home segment with Fifi Box, who will take over the Today Network’s breakfast show in Melbourne. Sophie Monk joined the Today Network in September as a co-host for their weekend breakfast show with Dave Thornton. Mel B is the former Spice Girl who also had a stint as a judge on The X Factor. Merrick Watt’s previously worked on the Triple M show, The Highway Patrol, with Julian Schiller and Rachel Corbett, however, it will not be returning in 2014.

Ellen DeGeneres puts marriage trouble rumours to rest.

Ellen and Portia DeGeneres’ relationship has been the subject of cover upon cover of tabloid magazines (read: drunkenly written fairy stories) as of late, with multiple titles claiming that their marriage is on the rocks.

Which is awkward because, according to Ellen DeGeneres, the first time that she heard of her marriages impending failure was when she was sitting in the hair salon, next to a pile of tabloid magazines:

If you can’t watch the video, DeGeneres told her audience:

It caught my eye because Portia and I were in the corner and I thought, ‘Oh that’s so sweet, they’re honouring us. But then I read the headline underneath. And it said: ‘Ellen and Portia Marriage Crumbles.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, what happened? They seemed so happy.’ And then I was like, ‘Wait, I’m Ellen.’ And I should know if that was happening.

DeGeneres then said: “There’s not one ounce of truth to any of it. I’m very happily married. In fact, the only thing we ever argue about is who loves who more.” And, that’s that, folks.

Dave Hughes has left the building The Project

The former radio host is set to tour Australia next year instead, performing stand-up, but plans to still make weekly appearances on the show, checking in from around the country.

Hughesy will be replaced by fellow comedian Peter Helliar, who is already a regular contributor on the Channel Ten show.

Speaking to Sydney Confidential, Hughes said that: “It’s definitely a tough decision, as we have had so many unbelievable moments on the desk. You meet some of the biggest stars in the world and chat with them and have some wonderful times. But, I’ve had this deep desire to have a year of doing stand-up comedy.”

The news comes after Hughes quit from his radio breakfast show ‘Hughesy & Kate’ on Nova in Melbourne earlier this year.

“We love our show,” said Hughes. “It’s been an amazing place to work. Since day one, when me, Katie and Dave O’Neil started … we’ve had so much fun. It’s been a joy to come to work. I have not had one boring day in 12 years coming to work with Kate Langbroek.”

The pair were the first voices to launch the station in December 2001. Dave will be joined on the road next year with his wife Holly and their three children under five. You can catch his first show in Adelaide in February.

Lea Michele on Ellen: “I’m just trying to do my best for him.”

Lea Michele has given her first TV interview after the loss of her fiancé and Glee co-star, Cory Monteith. The 27-year-old actress, who was appearing on the show to promote her new single Cannonball, said:

I really feel like I’m still trying to figure out all of this. It’s been only a few months, but my mom has experienced a lot of loss in her life and she told me at one point, she said, there is an empowerment that comes with grief, at some point you find it. It’s very hard but you will find it and I think at a certain point you can choose to sort of fall from this or you can choose to rise. And that’s what I’m just trying to do my best for him because I know that that’s what he would have wanted, and to just do my best and to you know, hopefully make something positive for where I go in the rest of my life.

Miranda Kerr bares her soul and her skin for Harper’s Bazzar.

Miranda Kerrmention of James Packer

“It’s difficult for anyone to go through a separation, whether it’s on a public scale or not. It was important for us long-term to preserve our friendship and the dynamic of being loving parents to Flynn so we dealt with everything openly and honestly,” Kerr said.

“We respect each other and with respect comes understanding. When there’s understanding, I guess everything is a little more harmonious.

“We’re still very big parts of each other’s lives. There’s no reason for us to be anything but a united front. We still love and care for each other deeply.”

The 30-year-old posed topless for the magazine and insisted that she and Bloom will remain friends for the sake of their two-year-old son, Flynn. “Flynn is the most important thing in both our lives. And because we share that bond, we both feel it’s important to be united.”

Adam Boland talks the breakup from Wake Up.

In a piece published on The Hoopla today, Boland talks candidly about the show’s premiere saying he felt “nothing but darkness.”

The last time Boland had felt like this was in 2007 when he launched The Morning Show on Channel Seven, and it had debuted at number one. While everyone else was celebrating at Larry Emdur’s house Boland was “at home, hiding behind a couch in a foetal position,” he goes on to say, “My then-partner had seen enough. The constant mood swings had taken their toll. It was time to seek help.”

Boland says the breakdown he suffered last month was worse than anything he’d ever experienced: “It involved police, an ambulance and time confined to a ward that I never want to see again. (For the record, I think the concept of locking up someone whose mind already feels trapped does nothing to help.)” During his well-publicised break from Wake Up, Boland was told to “man up” on social media and was horrified his own show “trivialised” Jonathon Trott’s (the English cricketer who flew back home) mental illness.

“It genuinely saddens me that many people still don’t see mental illness in the same way they’d view any other form of sickness.” “Many people with mental illness already feel guilty. That shouldn’t be compounded by the ignorance of others.”

Uh-huh Honey! Ellen and Portia steam it up in their Christmas card recreation of Bound 2

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have paid homage to the cinematic genius that was Kanye West’s “Bound 2″ video clip. “Well, people have been talking about the Kardashian’s card so much, Portia and I did a card this year and its based on…it was actually inspired by Kim and Kanye’s music video, if you saw it,” Ellen said as she unveiled the card.

The card reads “Bound for a Merry Christmas,” and features Ellen taking on Kanye’s role and Portia as a topless Kim, take a look:

Beyonce goes vegan… still wears fur.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are seven days into their 22-day vegan diet, but the “spiritual and physical” cleanse hasn’t extended to the singer’s wardrobe. Over the weekend Beyonce was spotted walking into a vegan restaurant, Native Foods, in Los Angeles wearing quilted black pants, leather boots and $4,800 Christopher Kane wool-blend parka with a real fur collar.

The 31-year-old singer was also snapped in a head-to-toe pizza print ensemble on Thursday and a cow printed jumper and leather leggings on Friday.
