Woman's body, wheelchair pulled from Adelaide parklands pond.

Detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was pulled from an Adelaide pond along with her wheelchair on Sunday night.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Veale Gardens in Adelaide’s southern parklands at 6:30pm, after receiving reports of a woman in a wheelchair falling into a pond.

The body of a 67-year-old woman from Valley View was retrieved from 1.5-metre-deep water by police divers.

Detectives have spoken to her companion, who was also at the scene, and are investigating further.

Police officers undertook an extensive search of a car parked nearby.

Authorities did not yet know whether the death was suspicious and a post-mortem examination will be conducted later today.

Police urged anyone with information on the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
