A father and his domestic partner have been charged over the horrific sexual assault of his 10-month-old daughter, in a case police have described as “abhorrent” and “beyond belief”.

The two men, both 50, were arrested in Ivanhoe, Victoria on Tuesday and extradited to Sydney to face child pornography charges and multiple counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.

Police allege the couple travelled to a small town in Central West NSW to visit the child on April 9, 2015, where they offered to look after her while her mother attended a training course. Over the course of three hours, they allegedly sexually assaulted the little girl and took photographs to documenting their actions.

Two days later, the father’s partner boasted about the abuse to an associate during a Skype conversation, allegedly saying: “Her mother was out for a while. We did not have enough time to do everything that we wanted to unfortunately.”

It also alleged he expressed a desire to “to drug the little one and really have a good time.”

In a previous conversation with another associate, police allege that he revealed the attack was pre-meditated.

“[The father] and I will have time on our own with her,” he said. “Incest turns me on so much.”

The Sydney Morning Herald chose not to publish further details of the conversations, as they are reportedly too disturbing.

The couple were arrested after police searched the computer of one of the associates and discovered the Skype conversations along with images of the child.

Neither of the men appeared in Waverley Local Court for this morning’s mention, nor applied for bail.

The father will face Central Local Court on Tuesday.
