The 11 yr-old boy banned from dress up day because he went as Christian Grey.

Harry Potter might have been the safer choice.

Little Liam’s mum Nicola Sholes said she received a phone call from teachers saying the costume was deemed inappropriate and he would be banned from the day’s themed events and class photo.

Nicola, who herself is a primary school teacher, told the Manchester Evening News“We thought it was funny. We were walking home from school and he had the idea of going as Christian Grey.

Mr Grey will not be seen in this school’s class photo.

“At first we laughed it off but the we discussed it with a few friends and saw the funny side and decided it was quite a good costume idea.”

“If it was a primary school I could understand but it’s a secondary school and the book and the film have been everywhere — it’s one of the most famous books in recent years and it’s not like the pupils will be unaware of it,” she added.
